After his acclaimed performance with "Steffi Neu & her radio friends" in October 2024, René Steinberg returns to Haltern am See on Thursday, 6 November 2025. This time with his brand new solo programme "Radical Fun Measures". The show starts at 8 pm, admission from 7 pm at the LWL-Römermuseum.

With his usual sharp tongue, subtle humour and a huge twinkle in his eye, Steinberg gets to the bottom of the really important things in life - radically: radically funny, cheerful, colourful and optimistic. Because enough is enough! Seriousness, anger and everyday grumbling have had their day. Instead, the cabaret artist calls for a big rethink: Dare to have more fun, now and here!

His new programme is a passionate appeal for humour in everyday life, in politics, in relationships, in family chaos or simply when waiting at red lights. An evening with René Steinberg promises a rousing live experience - varied, interactive, profound and full of surprises.

The event is organised by Kulturboitel, the Halterner Zeitung cabaret initiative, Sparkasse Westmünsterland and the Haltern am See municipal agency, whose joint commitment brings cultural highlights to the town.

Minimalist line-up, great joy of playing - this is how Klezfluentes MS present klezmer and Jewish songs. Hans Bonehomme Gudermann's guitar resounds to the rhythm of gypsy jazz to the klezmer pieces played by Thomas Peters, from hora to freilach. Klezfluentes' playing is characterised by great joy in playing.

On the first weekend in November, the small, but lovely goose market has a long tradition (this time a week later due to the public holiday).

The name actually says it all and so this time a small flock of geese gathers not next to the fountain on the goose market, but exceptionally on the market square and welcomes visitors with their chatter.

Direct marketers and traders from Haltern and the surrounding area offer everything to do with agricultural products and lots of tasty treats in keeping with the theme.

From pagoda tents, the vendors serve their guests many delicacies: Leg of goose, kale and roast ham, potato pancakes, soups, poultry and game products, jams, fruit and vegetables, bread, bread baking mixes, pastries, cakes and waffles, coffee, lots of goat's cheese, honey and things made from honey and beeswax, spices, wine, fruit brandies and mulled wine, juices, liqueurs and lots of delicious things to eat straight away, try and take home.

There is also a children's carousel for the little ones.

On Saturday, the shops will remain open until 6 pm and on Sunday the shopkeepers will open their shops from 1 pm to 6 pm.

Under the motto: "Crack the nut" you will receive nuts in the participating shops, in which city vouchers are hidden, e.g. for a goose dish etc.. The city vouchers can be redeemed at over 90 partner businesses.

The Closing Party 2025 marks the end of an extraordinary season. It kicks off with a welcome drink before a cruise across the Haltern reservoir starts at around 4 pm. On board, drinks, cocktails and musical beats will ensure an exuberant atmosphere. In combination with the sunset over the water, this creates a special ambience that characterises the atmosphere of the event. The party takes place on a modern electric boat, which creates the perfect setting for the evening. Afterwards, the party continues on land.

When it comes to blues in Germany, there's no getting round Bad Temper Joe. The grumpy blues bard from the East Westphalian province has developed into an absolutely exceptional phenomenon on the blues scene in recent years. This is evidenced not only by the large number of albums with songs that are as raw as they are haunting that BTJ has released in the meantime. Winning the German Blues Challenge and being nominated for various blues awards and the German Record Critics' Award are also evidence of this. With his dedication to the old bluesmen from the Mississippi Delta, Bad Temper Joe easily transports the blues, which has often been declared dead, into the 21st century - with everything that characterises blues at the highest level: excellent songwriting, a pronounced awareness of tradition and an engaging performance. BTJ is also making waves internationally. In 2020, it was the only European act to make it through to the final of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA. The British Blues Matters Magazine's verdict is consistent: "It's hard to believe that the sounds of the Mississippi Delta have relocated to Germany, but they have."

On board the festively decorated event ship Möwe, a traditional goose dinner takes place in an atmospheric setting. On offer is a varied goose buffet, a stylish welcome drink and a relaxing cruise across the Haltern reservoir. The offer is complemented by water and a glass of wine per person, creating an enjoyable evening on the water.

Coming from a family of musicians, Stefan discovered his love of the guitar at the age of 16. Since then, it has never let him go - or vice versa. Stefan's repertoire contains blues, jazz, ballad and folk elements. He mixes his own compositions with cover songs at his performances. Influenced by different styles, Stefan Mönkemeyer plays his "fingerstyle" guitar music sometimes sensitively and delicately, then again bluesy and groovy. Tasteful, delicate guitar music to discover, enjoy and feel good. Stefan Mönkemeyer's music is the perfect combination of virtuoso guitar playing and catchy songwriting. Music that really touches people.
Outside Germany, Stefan has played successful concerts at festivals and cultural events in France, Italy, Canada, Australia, Great Britain and Austria.
