Haltern cycle paths

At 1.11 p.m., the children's parade starts at the market square with around 20 small groups, 2 marching bands and this year's prince and princess (applications are still possible) via Rekumer Straße. The parade will cross the market square in the direction of Disselhof and then loop back along Rekumer Straße to end at the market square at around 3 p.m. All revellers - big or small, with or without a costume - are cordially invited to follow the parade on the sides of the street and from the market square. This year, the association can count on several large donations of throwing material, from which all spectators of the parade will benefit.

A family-friendly entertainment programme with a stage in front of the Sixtus Church will be offered on the market square from around 3:00 pm, seamlessly following the parade. Starting with the welcoming address by association chairwomen Mareike Zaun and Markus Schenk and a greeting from Mayor Andreas Stegemann, the programme will be followed by live performances by the "Mini- & Klein-Funken" dance guard "Blaue KITT-Funken Olfen" with guard and show dances, which are particularly aimed at the young market audience.

Between the individual programme items and parallel to the start of the parade from 13:11, there will be carnival music with a DJ on the stage. The highlight of the stage programme will be a live performance by the Haltern duo "CoconutBanane" (Arne Feldmann & Tobias Rudolf), who will perform the new club song "Helau Again" with the members of the Seestadt-Jecken for the first time.

Drinks and food will also be available on the market square from 13:11, inviting visitors to linger before the parade. In addition to hot and cold drinks, various snacks will be on offer: With the support of the Rossini team, Jupps Biergarten and Schröders Schlemmergrill, among others. The sales stands support the activities of the association with part of their proceeds.

The event ends with the drawing of the raffle prizes on the stage at around 17:00.

Every 8th woman in Germany will develop breast cancer in the course of her life. The chances of recovery increase if the disease is detected as early as possible. How can I protect myself against breast cancer? What risk factors can I influence? In addition to the information, she demonstrates how to perform a palpation examination in line with the motto "It's in your own hands!" But who do I turn to if I feel something? What examinations are then available? Dr Zehren, Chief Physician at the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics and Head Physician at the Münsterland Breast Centre, will also answer these questions in detail.

Mayor Andreas Stegemann is once again calling on all citizens, clubs, groups, schools and kindergartens to take up the broom. The 22nd "Clean Haltern am See" campaign day will take place on 21 March 2026. The official start on this day is at 9 am. All interested clubs, groups, schools, kindergartens and active citizens can take part in this day of action, which has already become a tradition. You should bring sturdy shoes for the campaign. Sturdy gloves, bin tongs, bin bags and other equipment will be available from 8 a.m. on 21 March at the building depot at Annabergstraße 55, where the subsequent collection of the rubbish will also be organised. Groups can register now for the day of action, stating the approximate number of people taking part and the intended collection area. Anyone who prefers to "sweep their own doorstep" is also welcome to take part. For all those who cannot take part in the group action, there is the opportunity to do something on a small scale, namely directly in your own neighbourhood. Because collecting in the fresh air works up an appetite, the helpers are once again invited to a helpers' party at the depot site. Catering will be provided there from 2 pm.

The tour then continues to the fields and foil tunnels on the farm.

Here, everything about our cultivation and harvesting of strawberries and raspberries will be explained. Questions are definitely welcome, as are the odd product sample.

The extensive field tour ends with a cosy coffee break.

Strawberries are the topic here too.
