Halfpipes, boxes and rails, a halfbowl, quaterpipes, banks and a small staircase for jumping down. All clear? No? Then let us explain to the skater layman that these are various opportunities to let off steam and try out tricks and have fun on wheels under your feet. And if that's all too much for you, you can simply skate around in circles.
Versatile barrier-free sports facility
The facility is a so-called street flow installation, which is suitable for several types of sports equipment (including inline skates and roller skates) and can be used at various levels of difficulty. It was also implemented as a barrier-free sports facility that can also be used by wheelchair users.
The skating facility is intended to further enhance the Westuferpark, which already has a basketball court and various sports equipment, among other things, as a leisure facility. The facility was opened in late summer 2025 and has been very popular ever since - especially with youngsters.
