4-day hike on the long-distance hiking trail
The new "Hohe Mark Steig" long-distance hiking trail offers an idyllic hiking experience over a total of 158 km through dense forests, dreamy moors and picturesque meadow and lake landscapes from Olfen to Wesel.
Discover part of the route, the water loop, from Haltern am See to Olfen through the Stever floodplain and the Haard back to the lakeside town.
Hiking enthusiasts can look forward to three stages with impressive views. The route offers a picturesque hiking experience along the Hohe Mark Steig, which leads through forests and along waterways. You will be able to enjoy lake and floodplain landscapes, rivers and enchanting scenery as well as discover historical architecture. There is hardly a more charming way to explore this region.
