Expansive views and quiet relaxation
Silbersee III is located in a water protection and landscape conservation area between Dülmen and the far north of Haltern.
It is a real natural treasure with its beautifully developed 5 km circular trail, viewing platforms and rest areas overlooking the lake. Visitors are offered impressive visual delights of the flora and fauna.
In recent years, increasing efforts have been made to guide visitors and thus come closer to the goals of nature conservation.
Some rangers look after Silbersee III on site and are on hand to offer visitors advice and assistance.
Swimming is not permitted here or at the smaller Silbersee I and IV.
Swimming is only permitted at Silbersee II

The Silbersee is a very beautiful destination for a cycle tour. The 44 km"H2 - Lebendige Natur" cycle path leads to many small natural treasures around Haltern am See and also past Silbersee III.
