Sailing

Sailing is possible on the Haltern reservoir and on Lake Dülmen .
If you arrive in Haltern with your own boat, you will need a sailing permit, as the number of boats is limited. You can obtain this during opening hours at the Citizens' Office in the New Town Hall, Dr.-Conrads-Str. 1, for a fee (information phone: 02364/933-180).
You can moor your sailing boat on the southern shore of Halterner See, Hullerner Straße or on the northern shore at Stadtmühlenbucht/Segelboothafen.
A crane facility is only available on the northern shore and must be agreed with the sailing clubs.
At the much smaller Dülmener See, an entrance fee and a boat fee must be paid. Information on 02594/98198 or at www.duelmener-see.de.
