Paddling, rowing, pedal boating...
Gliding on the cool water... - a wonderful feeling!
Paddling, rowing and pedal boating is possible on the Halterner See and the Stever.
If you are traveling with your own boat, you will need a sailing or paddling permit. This can be obtained for a fee during opening hours from the Haltern am See town office, administration building Dr.-Conrads-Str. 1 (information phone: 02364/933-180). Further information can be found here.
You can moor your sailing boat on the north shore, Stadtmühlenbucht or on the south shore of the reservoir, Hullerner Str.
An entrance fee of € 3.00/person is payable on Lake Dülmen (swimming/sailing/paddling/rowing/pedal boating).
Impressions
The feeling of gliding across a calm lake in a canoe is simply indescribably beautiful. The gentle movements of the paddle in the water create a calming sound as the canoe glides elegantly over the mirror-smooth surface. The fresh air surrounds you, the sun warms your skin and you feel at one with nature.
Families also enjoy pedal boating, where they take turns gliding safely and effortlessly over the waves. Sporty pedal boaters can also pick up some speed.
Have fun!
You can hire the boats from the two boat hire outlets:
Meilenbrock boat hire on the Haltern reservoir
Niehues boat hire on the Stever/Heimingshof
