City tour with "Schmackofatz"
Nothing shapes a town more than its people, traditions and markets. In Haltern am See, many things have remained the same, some have evolved over the years, some are valuable memories.
In the Gantepother quarter, for example, the "Gänseliesel" herds her poultry in the shadow of the oldest farmhouse. A bronze cow at the "Kohkuettelmarkt" is a reminder of the place where cows were collected for the town's cowherd. In our old town with its historical flair, you will find a number of businesses with a very long tradition, such as the oldest pharmacy dating back to 1834. Listen to the stories and let yourself be surprised.
